The National Violence Monitoring System-NVMS (Sistem Nasional Pemantauan Kekerasan- SNPK) is an innovative effort to provide data and analysis regarding conflict and violence across several regions in Indonesia. NVMS’s main activities  are: first, collecting detailed and regular data on when, where, how,  and why violence took place and its impacts; second, an analysis of collected data and thematic studies about specific aspects of conflict. NVMS is intended as an empirical reference for policymaking and programing to manage and prevent violence. In order to increase civil society’s participation in this effort, the NVMS data and analysis has been made publically available.
