Dr. Ahmad Watik Pratiknya, The Habibie Center's Executive Director signed the project contract at International Relief and Development (IDR) office at Intiland Tower, which marked the starting point of the 7-month project that will comprise of Training of Trainers (TOT) Workshop, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) for school teachers, pre-test and post-test and media literacy campaigns in three different regions in Indonesia: Central Sulawesi, Maluku and the Jabodetabek area. The series of activities are targeted at young people, mainly high school students who are prone to be influenced by what they read in the media - in particular in the age of the internet, social networks, and television. This project aims to develop skills of the younger generation to be critical of the contents of the mass media as well as develop an understanding of the concept of diversity in society.
